Reporting a student absence

A parent or guardian must report a student’s absence every day that the student is absent. Please contact the Academy by 9:00am using one of the following methods:

• Email: attendance@chellaston.derby.sch.uk
• Telephone: 01332 702502 (lines open from 8:00am)

Please provide:

• Your name
• The student’s full name
• The student’s form group
• The reason for the absence

If you do not contact the Academy on each day of your child’s absence, you will receive a text message and a telephone call. If we are unable to make contact, the Academy’s Attendance Officer may conduct a home visit.
