Please see below the email we have just received regarding the Ram Trail competition, we are so incredibly proud of our students.

Dear Chellaston Academy,

It is with great pleasure that I am writing to let you know that Chrysanthemum by Olivia, Sir Frank Whittle Ram by Thomas and Every Snowflake is Different (just like you) by Nate were selected as runners up in the Derby Ram Trail school’s competition!

This means their rams will be on display in the Museum and Art gallery from 27 May – 22 August as part of the Schools Mini Ram Trail, will feature in the official souvenir guide and also on the school’s mini gallery on the Derby Ram Trail website. They have already had their official photos taken last week! Please pass on our thanks and congratulations to all involved. They really did such a brilliant job! With all the ongoing challenges of lockdown we were delighted with the number of schools that took part and the quality and breadth of themes of all the rams submitted was just incredible. We loved seeing all the designs and the way young people had creatively expressed what they felt was important to them at this current time.

Please also pass on our thanks to Joe and Mia for their entries which were gorgeous too. There were also so many great rams which sadly didn’t make it onto the school mini trail, so we decided to put all of the mini rams on public display alongside the big rams at the Ram Union Weekend (3-5 September) taking place at the Museum and Art gallery. So please let them both know their minis will come out and shine on public display on that weekend. We very much hope all your young people enjoyed taking part and that many of them will come and enjoy seeing the large and mini rams this summer. With our warmest thanks once again to all the pupils, teachers and parents for working with us on this project. Best wishes Jenny Cuadrado Head of Fundraising PS. Please let parents know that the mini gallery on our website is due to go live from the 27 May (www.derbyramtrail.org
