Key Information for Parents and Carers
Student SEND Passports / IEPs / Support Plans
- Every student on the SEND register has a Student Passport, which is shared with staff. This document helps to outline the students’ individual needs, strategies which will help them at school, and other important information.
- Parents and carers are invited to update their child’s plan at least twice a year.
- Students are given the opportunity to update their passport every half term.
Access to the SEND Team
- Each student on the SEND register has a dedicated SEND link, who will introduce themselves at the start of the academic year and stay in touch throughout the year.
- If you have any concerns that the SEND link is unable to address, do not hesitate to contact the SENCo or Deputy SENCo.
- During Parents Evenings, Open Evenings, and Options Evenings, the SENCo will be available for drop-in sessions in the Extended Learning Department.
- If you would like to schedule a meeting, please email a brief outline of the content of your meeting to Mrs Sarah Stratton who will signpost your email to the right person within the team.
