A-Level and Level 3 Examination Results 2022-23
Press Release
Chellaston Academy is delighted with the examination results achieved by our Year 13 students. We are proud that the performance of our students has exceeded that of 2019. This is a great achievement given that the national examination results have returned to pre-pandemic levels.
Nearly one quarter of our grades at A Level were achieved at A* – A and almost 60% of our grades were achieved at A* – B. The average grade across all A Level subjects is a high grade C and the average grade in all vocational subjects is a Distinction.
In addition, some students including Oliver Wheat and Ammar Ahmed achieved A*s (or equivalent) in all of their subjects, which is an exceptional achievement.
We are particularly delighted that the vast majority of our students have achieved their pathway of choice. This includes many students who have been successful in gaining places on university degree courses or degree apprenticeships, including ones with Jaguar Land Rover and the Civil Service.
We want to congratulate all of our students, not only for achieving the results they have, but for demonstrating such determination, diligence and positivity in what has been difficult and uncertain times. We wish you all the very best for your future.
As part of QEGSMAT, Anne Martin the CEO, sends her congratulations to all the Chellaston students for their incredible achievements during the past two challenging and disrupted years. Thank you to the teachers and staff who have worked to support the students at Chellaston, in particular Year 13. These outcomes reflect everyone’s commitment, hard work and positive attitudes. Anne wishes the students all the very best in the next chapter of their lives.
The school culture of ‘inspiring each other to realise our potential through Integrity, Care and Excellence’ is at the heart of everything we do, and students leave Chellaston Academy ready to be successful in their next stages in life. All of this success is not possible without the dedication and support from every member of staff at the school, and I would like to thank them all.
Kind regards
Phil Smith
